As a child Laila was immersed in the cultures of both parents - dividing her time between Pakistan, Italy and America where she was surrounded by the experimental fashion found in her mother's landmark New York store- Samson and Delilah (selling stage clothes for Alice Cooper, Marvin gaye and David Bowie.)
Laila moved to Florence where her love of fashion was constant. She worked as a buyer for small boutiques and sourced out accessories for a vintage store. Her devotion to vintage jewelry and its inspiration drove Laila to launch her own range of unique, daring and stylish jewelry.
This unique approach was recognized by one of the world’s leading jewellery producers in Italy. Together they realised Laila’s vision. Laila’s first line of jewellery was launched at cruise 2006. The jewellery is made from plexiglass, brass metal and Swarovski crystals. Each piece is colour coated gold or silver.
Delaila jewellery can be found in stores around the world. Currently stocked in Harvey Nichols Hong Kong and Riyadh, Joseph London, Erickson Beamon, Kabiri, Franck et Fils of Paris, Biffi and Banner of Milan and Beymen of Turkey.
